A fascinating book, just published. I’m really proud of the small role I played in bringing this translation out in English. Advances just arrived from the printers on Friday, and it looks stunning. An engaging, imaginative, provocative look at otaku from one of Japan’s most famous public intellectuals (and practicing psychoanalyst).  For an interesting audio interview with the translator, click here.
